We all know that moderate exercise is good for the correct functioning of the body but one of the tips for beautiful skin is keeping in shape too.

Exercise helps the body work at it’s best and this means the correct operation of the systems that promote the health of the skin. It may seem obvious, but exercise helps the blood flow and it is the blood that carries the essential oxygen to the skin. A lack of oxygen and nutrients will affect the skin, making it dry and lacking in elasticity.

But the blood also carries unnecessary toxins away from the skin so one of the healthy skin tips is to encourage blood flow to achieve this. The bad substances will be removed by the blood and taken to the liver, which will deal with them and remove and neutralize them.

The skin reflects stress too and exercise reduces the effects of stress we experience. The supply of oil to the skin (which helps the skin look fresh) is affected by stress and leads to a strained look to the complexion.

Of course, exercise can affect the condition of the skin, especially if you exercise outside where the sun can affect your complexion, so another of those tips to beautiful skin is to wear sunblock as often as possible. Of course sufferers of skin condition such as acne or rosacea may find exercise can temporarily affect their condition but overall the benefits will outweigh the challenges.
